Jeffrey Masters is the host of the popular LGBTQ&A podcast, a weekly interview series that "gets beyond transition and coming-out stories in order to get to know each person's defining moments, their accomplishments, and how they got to where they are today." Recently, LGBTQ&A joined The Advocate's Podcasting Network, so Advocates podcast hosts Jessie "Gender" Earl and Tracy E. Gilchrist sat down with Masters to get to know the man behind the interviews.

Masters, Gilchrist, and Earl discuss how we move beyond just talking about oppression, how to land a good guest, and what makes a good interview. Masters and Gilchrist also share their experiences riding and raising money with AIDS/LifeCycle. The three also tackle topical issues including Sarah Huckabee Sanders getting turned away from a restaurant in Virginia. Check out the full episode below.

The Advocates podcast is a biweekly series from the world's oldest LGBT magazine where hosts Jessie "Gender" Earl and Tracy E. Gilchrist break down the biggest stories in LGBT news along with numerous LGBT guests. Don't miss a single episode by subscribing on iTunes, Soundcloud, or Google Play.

Today's podcast is brought to you by Wells Fargo. Standing together with the LGBTQ community then, now, and always. Watch inspiring stories of organizations making a difference at WellsFargo.com/standingtogether.
