On Tuesday, Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's lawyer, plead guilty to eight federal crimes. Cohen plead guilty to making illegal campaign contributions to Trump's 2016 presidential campaign the same day he allegedly facilitated a $130,000 payment to porn actress, Stormy Daniels. Federal law prohibits individuals from donating more than $3,500 to presidential campaigns. The $130,000 dollar payment to Stormy Daniels was reportedly hush money to silence her, Business Insider reports. She allegedly had an affair with Trump in 2006. Stormy Daniels is currently suing Trump and Cohen. On Tuesday, Daniels sent out a tweet: "How ya like me now?! #teamstormy." She added "Michael [Avenatti] and I are vindicated and we look forward to the apologies from the people who claimed we were wrong."
