Sonja Morgan was kicked out of a gay piano bar in Philadelphia over a violation of etiquette.
Page Six reports that the Real Housewives of New York star was booted by the piano player after she took the microphone to sing "Hello, Dolly!" from the musical of the same name.
"I was with friends who were singing at the piano, like we do at the Townhouse, and the piano player said, 'Remove her!'" Morgan told the New York gossip column. The Townhouse is a gay piano bar located in the New York City neighborhood of Midtown East.
Morgan suspects she was penalized for taking the microphone in her hands to perform; the previous singer sang with the mike kept in the stand. "I felt slighted by the piano player," she said.
Although Morgan was left "tearful" by the incident, she left peacefully with her party and had kind words to say about her time in the Philadelphia gayborhood. "We had a blast. I love Philly," she said.
The Bravo personality did not recall the name of the gay bar that booted her. However, Tavern on Camac, a popular piano bar that hosts regular show tune nights in the City of Brotherly Love, is a likely candidate.
Morgan, a self-declared "gay icon," previously served as the grand marshal of a march for marriage equality in 2010.
