The 20-year-old artist behind the megahit "Old Town Road" comes out on the last day of Pride Month.
The artist with the biggest -- and possibly most original -- song of 2019 came out on Pride weekend.
Atlanta rapper and singer Lil Nas X tweeted a somewhat cryptic message on Sunday:
“some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm no more. but before this month ends i want y’all to listen closely to c7osure. 🌈🤩✨”— i am reading all that (@i am reading all that) 1561926484
Lil Nas X's song "C7osure" from his EP, 7, contains the following lyrics:
"True say, I want and I need to let go, use my time to be free. Ain't no more actin', man that forecast say I should just let me grow / No more red light for me baby, only green, I gotta go / Pack my past up in the back, oh, let my future take ahold / This is what I gotta do, can't be regrettin' when I'm old."

Lil Nas X is most known for his breakout single, "Old Town Road," which became a sensation after spreading on social media. The country-rap hybrid stormed the Billboard charts and gained even more notoriety when the music ranking system refused to include it on the country charts; the controversy brought more ears to it and it has ruled the Hot 100 since April, besting work of superstars like Drake and Taylor Swift.
