Comedian Kathy Griffin, 59, rang in the new year by marrying her longtime boyfriend Randy Bick, 41, in the wee hours of New Year's Day. What's more is that Grace and Frankie star Lily Tomlin officiated the wedding while her wife, Jane Wagner, looked on.

An elated Griffin tweeted a video snippet of the ceremony in which she thanked the legendary Tomlin and Wagner.

After some discussion off-camera, presumably from Wagner, about what to do with the dogs in the room, Tomlin deadpanned her reading of Griffin and Bick's vows.

"We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Randy Bick and Kathy Griffin," Tomlin read.

"What was supposed to be a shallow, 'toot it and boot it' one-night stand has grown and flourished into something far more meaningful. They stayed together. Then they couldn't stay away from one another," Tomlin continued.

Griffin also tweeted a photo of her and Bick from their first date in 2011. The Diane von Furstenberg dress she wore on that night was the same she wore for her marriage.

Additionally, the pair opted not to wear wedding or engagement rings as a sign of commitment. "Randy and I are doing sort of toy rings for the ceremony because neither one of us like wearing rings ever. So we will never wear rings. Deal with it," she told People.

Griffin experienced a backlash for a picture in which she was holding a replica of Donald Trump's severed head in 2017, but she bounced back and was the subject of this year's documentary Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story.

When asked by The Advocate if Griffin would do the photograph all over again, knowing the backlash it would bring, the comedian replied, "I would."

"There are times when I wouldn't have said that," she said. "But now that I've been able to shine a light on this in a way ... I realized that there's so many more people coming around and it's just very gratifying when people go, 'You know what, in light of all this stuff that Trump and his ilk have actually done, this silly picture wasn't really that big of a deal.'"
