The gay Bravo personality urged "everybody to stay home and take care of themselves."
Andy Cohen has tested positive for COVID-19.
The gay host of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live revealed the health update Friday in an Instagram post.
"After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus," he stated. "As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we're putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better."
"I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves," he added.
High-profile well-wishers to Cohen included Sarah Jessica Parker, Busy Phillips, and John Mayer, who commented, "Rest up. Love you with all my heart."
Many celebrities, including Tom Hanks, Idris Elba, and The Bachelor's Colton Underwood, have come forward about having the virus, which has quickly grown to become a global pandemic.
Cohen is the most-high profile person from the LGBTQ community to test positive. John D'Amico, the gay mayor of West Hollywood, also discussed his diagnosis this week.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends hand-washing and social distancing as key ways to prevent COVID-19. Public officials are also urging a limit to public gatherings. California recently instituted shelter in place -- a directive to stay at home to slow the transmission of the virus.
