Gay adult film star and OnlyFans content creator Lawrence Morningstar died. He was 31 years old.

In late September, Morningstar's friend gay adult performer and go-go dancer Damien Cruz posted the news on Twitter.

"It gives me the utmost sadness to have to tell you all, my soulmate, my brother, and my best friend [Lawrence Morningstar]has passed away this morning," Cruz wrote on Twitter.

Morningstar, whose real name was Lawrence William Tyler, died while in Hawaii, Cruz confirmed to The Advocate. He died on September 28, Cruz said.

Cruz posted a GoFundMe to help Morningstar's family with funeral costs as well as to help organize a memorial in West Hollywood where Cruz and Morningstar would often hang out. As of October 14, $4,570 has been raised.

Morningstar was always a supportive, warm person, Cruz told The Advocate. He said that he and Morningstar would hang out at parties around West Hollywood to dance -- or as Morningstar liked to put it "going to cha cha."

"It's very rare for anybody to really find somebody like Lawrence because of how passionate and loving and just unique he was," Cruz said. He said they had planned to spend New Year's Eve in Mexico this year.

"He would buy last minute [tickets[ to go [on trips] with me because he knew I was going alone," Cruz said. "He just lit up a room 100 fold and you could just feel his presence."

A public memorial will take place at The Chapel at The Abbey in West Hollywood, Calif., at 6 p.m. on October 15.
