Out actress Rebel Wilson is now the mother of a daughter.

Wilson is "beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate," she wrote on Instagram Monday.

The Pitch Perfect and Senior Year star called the baby "a beautiful miracle" and thanked everyone involved, especially "my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care."

"I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable," Wilson continued. "I am learning quickly ... much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club."

Wilson, 42, came out in June by sharing a picture of herself and girlfriend Ramona Agruma on Instagram. "I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince ... but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess," she wrote, adding "#loveislove." Agruma is a fashion designer.

But Wilson said she was pressed to come out by an Australian journalist. "Across our two families, not everybody is as accepting as what you'd hoped for, and we were trying to be respectful to those people and tell them in our own way," Wilson told The Australian recently. "Basically, with the situation where a journalist is threatening to out you, you've got to hurry, and some people we didn't get a chance to tell before it came out publicly. And that's not ideal."

The journalist in question was Andrew Hornery of The Sydney Morning Herald. The Herald responded to Wilson in June by writing, "It was with an abundance of caution and respect that this media outlet emailed Rebel Wilson's representatives on Thursday morning, giving her two days to comment on her new relationship with LA leisure wear designer Ramona Agruma, before publishing a single word." But Wilson beat the paper to the punch with her Instagram post.
