How did we choose our favorite male images of 2017?
First, I am the luckiest guy in the world to be able to work with all this photography and all these great photographers all year long (and get paid for it!) Many, if not all, of the men and women who shoot our portfolios are great to work with and very generous to share their images with us. Many of the photographers I can call friends. To all of them, happy holidays and best wirshes (and more photos, please) in the new year.
The criteia is both simple and complex. We take a look over the thousands of images that we post at the end of the year and pick the onces that stand out to us for various reasons. Those reasons include: we were dazzled, we were moved, we were impressed with technical skills, we were inspired to be amazed at the human form, and most often, we had a very pleasurable feeling that made us grateful to be gay.
Posted with each photo is the link to the original portfolio we posted this year. In that poertfolio will be links to the photographers' sites and social media. If you love the photographs here, be sure to link through to the photographer. Follow them, and let them know if you like the photography. Sometimes it can be lonely living in a digital vacuum, feedback means everything.
And if you can't get enough, be sure to check out our Best of Photography for 2016 to see a great variety of what inspires us visually.
