Meet the men of Bearracuda, a global Beartopia. Read about it below.
Our Seattle man on the scene, Matt Baume, has sent us a few galleries from Bearracuda parties at Seattle’s Eagle. These looked like fun events, so we wanted to get at the meat of the matter and connect with the Bearracuda men.
Here’s the skinny (uh, the information):
Bearracuda started in in August 2006 in San Francisco. Bearracuda is the largest-attended bear dance party and most prolific gay dance event in the U.S.
Bearracuda has events in 40 cities across the world, including parties in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, New York City, London, Austin, Atlanta, and Sydney. The group was voted Best Club for Queer Men in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 by the San Francisco Bay Guardian. Bearracuda is not ursine-exclusive, and it welcomes cubs, otters, beefcake, and other wildlife. Be sure to check out its cruise offerings at BearsOverboard.com. Follow Bearracuda on Facebook to get up-to-date in-fur-mation.
