A peaceful gathering of thousands stands against hate and bigotry in the Bay Area. Coincidentally, it's the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love.
On August 26, 2017, thousands gathered in the Castro and Civic Center areas of San Francisco in solidarity against hatred and bigotry, and as a counter-protest to alt-right/neo-Nazi gatherings in the Bay Area. What many feared would be a day of confrontation and violence blossomed into a huge festival of San Francisco love, with some of the city's fiercest drag queens on the front line. Relive this powerful day's most memorable moments of love, humanity, and resistance.
