The Advocate has been a sex-positive publication since its inception in 1967. We also love being able to promote the work of our hundreds of contributing photographers. The task of reviewing all of our photographic portfolios from the previous year and making choices is an arduous one, but someone has to do it. The criteria in selecting an image for this portfolio ranges from delight to graphic appeal to sensuality and to humor. And we leave room for that undefinable something that seems to comand attention.
