Paddle8, the leading online auction house, is timing the second series "Boys! Boys! Boys! Vol II / Pride" to Pride Week, June 14- 25.

This sale of photographs celebrating the male form, openness and inclusion, marks the second edition of an ongoing partnership with London's The Little Black Gallery, curated by founder Ghislain Pascal.

The collection of photographs features works by queer and gay photographers, including Matt Lambert, Florian Hetz and Stuart Sandford and the legendary photographer Greg Gorman.

"We are thrilled to announce an ongoing partnership with Paddle8," says Ghislain Pascal. "With this edition of 'Boys! Boys! Boys! Vol II/Pride', we wanted to showcase photographers whose frank and provocative images are a celebration of sexuality and openness."

The Little Black Gallery is known for its exhibitions and artists celebrating the female form, including their annual "Girls! Girls! Girls!" show. As a gay man and avid collector of queer and gay photography, Ghislain wanted to shift the focus of visual pleasure off Grindr and onto the exquisitely photographed bodies of beautiful men.

"Boys! Boys! Boys! Vol II" follows the inaugural "Boys!" sale on Paddle8 in March. Next in the series, Paddle8 and The Little Black Gallery will launch the first "Girls! Girls! Girls!" sale in October.

About photographer Mel Roberts:

Mel Roberts's work is distinguished by his interest in fashion styles and cultural trends as well as his use of natural, "everyday" young men as models. Here, Roberts captures a historic moment: the Gay Pride Parade in 1979 marks a 10-year anniversary of the Stonewall riots and also is the 9th annual Gay Parade held in Los Angeles (along with New York). Prior to 1979, the L.A. parade was held on Hollywood Boulevard, but due to the tense relationship with the Los Angeles police, the parade was moved to the unincorporated portion of Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood.

Mel Roberts (American, 1923-2007) was a photographer and activist who captured the spirit of the Californian Dream that lured thousands of gay men to the Golden State in search of freedom and opportunity after World War II. Unlike other physique photographers, Roberts' subjects were not the perfectly proportioned bodybuilders, hustlers, or professional models common in the magazines of the time. His models were natural "everyday" young men who Roberts, first and foremost, had to know personally before photographing. Roberts' work is also distinguished by his interest in fashion styles and trends in pop culture. His models often wear cut-off jeans, flower-power bell-bottoms, and love beads.

Florian Hetz is a Berlin-Based photographer. He was an artist-in-residence at the Tom of Finland Foundation in Los Angeles. In May of 2018, Hetz held a solo exhibition in Hamburg, portraying the life and sexuality of gay men in the Echo Park district of LA.

Known for his intensely evocative photographs, Greg Gorman develops portraits that see through movement, emotion, and sensation. Here, Gorman diverts from his portraitures that serve as testament to the individual character as he sets three male figures against a natural landscape. By photographing the men from behind, with extreme shadows descending on their naked bodies, Gorman takes away their individuality to unite the natural aspects of a human body and the land.

Shen Wei (Chinese, b. 1977) is a visual artist based in New York City and Shanghai. He is known for his intimate portraits of others and himself. Shen Wei graduated from the School of Visual Arts, New York with a Masters of Fine Arts in photography, video, and related media. He is a recipient of the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Arts Residency, the Asian Cultural Council Arts & Religion, the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Arts Grant.

Matt Lambert, "Jance (from Home series)", 2016

Matt Lambert (American, b. 1989) received his BA from Wayne State University in 2012 and is presently an MFA candidate in metalsmithing at Cranbrook Academy of Art. His photographs display what he refers to as "hybrid beings," such as crossdressers and those who genetically mutate. Through his photographs, he explores the relationships between humans and objects, seeking to base his works upon the current social condition. Simultaneously, he explores the wearability of objects beyond the conventional, which he explains moves the works into the queer space.

Len Prince (American, b. 1953) is a photographer based in New York. His clients include Bergdorf Goodman, The Estee Lauder Companies, Interview Magazine and many more. Prince's work has been exhibited at MoMA PS1, Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, FL, and Nicholson Museum at University of Sydney, Australia, among others.

Tyler Udall, "Bum", 2010

Tyler Udall (Canadian, b. 1979) is photographer based in Vancouver. Some of his achievements include, two published books, "August 2009-August 2010" (OH WOW Gallery, 2010) and "Auguries of Innocence" (Armour Press, 2015), as well as had three solo shows at The Little Black Gallery in London. Udall currently serves as a Fashion Director at the Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver.

Stuart Sandford received his BA Fine Art, with Honours, in 2006 from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom. Based in London he has exhibited his photographic, video and installation work worldwide. His curatorial projects include HUNG and Boy BANG Boy, which he co-curated with artist, Sichi. His work has been featured in several publications and magazines, including Metal, GT, Maenner, attitude, Tush, Dazed & Confused, BUTT, and Objektiv.
