Sven Serkis‘s photography stresses the vulnerability of the human body and gives you a moment of peace. Read more below.
Berliner Sven Serkis has a thriving commercial photographic business. One of his special projects is his Tumblr, Adam's Fruit, that focuses mostly on serene and slightly haunting male nude images in natural settings.
Serkis's integration of the naked human form in nature has a wistful feel to it. It reminds us of visiting a vacation hotspot off-season. With the tourists gone, the full-time residents reclaim the land and space for their own needs at a much calmer pace, and watch as the crisp weather starts and the seasons blossom into one another.
Serkis told Containerlove.art: "In my nude photographs, I am not primarily concerned about conveying something. Most of my nudes are created with people I know little or not at all. For me, the charm lies in the process of getting to know each other and in what the models reveal of themselves. Eventually, the photographs are just a by-product. Of course, I do have my own aesthetics, and sometimes I feel like being judged superficially when someone's saying my pics were SEXY. They definitely incorporate a certain kind of eroticism, but for me there is so much more than meets the eye."
