Vangardist, the platform dedicated to the progressive man, has been in existence for 10 years. The magazine closes the gap between homosexuality and heterosexuality, and without falling victim to stereotypes, defines man as an adventurous, brave and creative hero, eager to live life with authenticity and responsibility and never renouncing certain aspirations. Introduced in 2009 as an online magazine, Vangardist has also been available as a print version, published quarterly, since 2016. Since then, it has been recognized internationally on multiple occasions for its work in standing up against homophobia and exclusion.
This anniversary publication combines the best photos from the 77 digital and print editions with the best stories from 10 years of progressive journalism focused on the man of the future. In collaboration with Viennese publisher Paper Affairs, Vangardist has achieved great success in this project, one born of the core values that both share, and which reflects their common passion for high-quality publications aimed at satisfying those with a more discerning taste. Following the monograph Carnal Remains - Photos & Poems by Sam Scott Schiavo that marked their debut, Paper Affairs and Vangardist have now published another homage to the diversity of male photography.
The 280-page photographic volume From Boyhood to Mankind can be ordered online and was presented for the first time at the Future Ball organized by Vangardist on November 9, 2019.
