At Sidetrack, some Saturdays are for the dogs! Most pups walked on North Halsted in Chicago know exactly where Sidetrack is. The door staff at Sidetrack knows that the peak hour for puppies to be walking by and wanting their obligatory Sidetrack treat is about 6 p.m. But once a month, the pups in "Chicago's Proudest Neighborhood" are allowed in to Sidetrack's front patio, glass bar, and outdoor upstairs deck for a Dog Day Afternoon. Dog Day Afternoons, sponsored by Tito's, are typically the first Saturday of the month from 1-6 p.m. (altered occasionally for holidays and such). In July, Sidetrack had their first Dog Day since before the pandemic. There were Dog Day regular pups that had not seen their canine friends in over a year. It was a great reunion.
