Possibly the biggest party for gay and bisexual Jews outside Israel took place on Christmas Eve/the seventh night of Hannukah in New York City -- Hebro's legendary Jewbilee event. Hundreds of queer Jews (and their Gentile friends) convened on Blue Midtown in Manhattan to dance, chat, flirt, and just be together. By the looks of it, everyone was having a fabulous time. Hebro, which launched in 2008 by Jayson Littman, is a "social-startup for gay Jews living in New York City producing nightlife parties, cultural events and destination trips." With events that celebrate both community and cultural experiences, Hebro has attracted a devoted following in NYC. Jewbilee is Hebro's biggest event and is a great way to end the year (though the Jewish new year begins in the fall!).
