The pop star was a big supporter of the nation's first female major party presidential nominee.
The crowd gathered last night for the UNICEF Snow Flake Ball in New York was treated to a spectacular surprise when Hillary Clinton made a surprise appearance to present Katy Perry with the Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award.
"Every single child deserves the chance to live up to his or her God-given potential," said Clinton. "And for the past 70 years, UNICEF has protected children's rights, helped provide food, safety, medical care, education, and created opporutnities for tens of millions of boys and girls around the world - not just to survive, but to thrive."
Perry, who was a major proponent of Clinton on the campaign trail, was visibly moved by Clinton's appearance and "humbled" to receive the award. Watch clips below.
