Beset by unending controversies, the unpopular president will try to turn this ship around.
Five weeks after being inaugurated, President Trump is fending off controversies that include his campaign's alleged ties to Russia, a botched raid in Yemen, the DOA immigration order, zero action on replacing Obamacare, and directives that have taken aim at transgender youth and minority voters. Speaking tonight at the Capitol to a joint session of Congress, Trump will try to reset the negative narrative, allegedly through an optimistic speech (a new tactic for him).
Via NBC News, watch the speech below, which begins around 9 p.m. Eastern and will be attended by homophobic Vice President Pence, numerous members of Trump's unqualified Cabinet, and justices of the Supreme Court.
