Maine senator Susan Collins -- a moderate Republican -- announced support for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, speaking on Friday on the Senate floor of his judicial accomplishments, denouncing opposition to him, and declaring him part of the "mainstream."

With Republican senator Jeff Flake also voicing approval of Kavanaugh, the disgraced, anti-LGBTQ judge will likely be confirmed to the high court on Saturday.
