After facing complaints of those affected by the Parkland, Fla., school shooting at the Stand Up: The Students of Stoneman Douglas Demand Action town hall, the National Rifle Association thanked its representative Dana Loesch on Twitter.
The GIF, which featured Amy Poehler's character on Parks and Recreation, was not appreciated. Several people associated with the show spoke out against its use by the anti-gun control organization, including Michael Shur, the co-creator of the show.
Nick Offerman, who played Ron Swanson on the show, is on Twitter. So is Adam Scott, who played Ben Wyatt.
The NRA has yet to take the tweet down, but others are speaking out against the message on Twitter, even sending out Parks and Recreation GIFs of their own.
