Let the record show that Pennsylvania lawmaker Brian Sims is not one to sugar coat how he feels.
In a Facebook post ahead of a visit from Mike Pence, Sims, who represents Pennsylvania's 182nd district in the state House, made it clear how he feels about the vice president's well-documented anti-LGBT views.
"To be clear, we're a City of soaring diversity. We believe in the power of all people to live and to contribute: Black, Brown, Queer, Trans, Atheist, Immigrant, we want you and we'll respect you," Sims wrote. "So keep that in mind while you're here raising money to attack more families, spread more lies, blaspheme with your bible, and maybe even talk to a woman without your wife in the room."
The emotion in Sims' post was punctuated with an image of him giving the middle finger to the camera. "So... get bent, then get out!" he concluded. And with that, the post is making headlines in Washington and across the nation.
