The weekly Roman Catholic magazine America has rescinded its endorsement of Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court, according to The Wrap. America is published by the Jesuit religious order. Kavanaugh's endorsement was rescinded as a result of the sexual assault accusation leveled against him by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. The magazine's editors wrote, "We recognize that this nomination is no longer in the best interests of the country." The magazine is the product of the same Catholic religious order that runs Kavanaugh's high school alma mater, Georgetown Prep.
