Pete Buttigieg is finally bearded.

The first major gay presidential candidate was spotted with some stubble Wednesday during an Instagram Live session -- a Q&A with Dr. Dara Krass on the current health situation.

"Obviously, I've taken advantage of the simple fact of not having to shave every day," Buttigieg quipped during the social media broadcast.

Buttigieg, whose historic campaign ended earlier this month in an endorsement of fellow Democrat moderate Joe Biden, is in the midst of Indiana's stay-at-home order. During this time, his husband, Chasten Buttigieg, has been posting images of the pair (and dogs) at their South Bend homestead.

Like many of us, the usually clean-shaven Mayor Pete has changed grooming habits during a time of social distancing and working from home. And many were pleased by the change in appearance. The hashtag #BeardedButtigieg and #BeardEdgeEdge began trending in February after images of the politician were doctored with FaceApp to add facial hair.

Take a look at some of the reactions to the new look below -- and leave your own thoughts in the comments.
