Congresswoman Lauren Boebert has apparently been disinvited from the Texas Youth Summit, a right-wing conference for young people.

Organizers of the summit, to be held September 29-30 in a suburb of Houston, had announced Friday that Boebert would be a speaker at the event. “We are excited to add firebrand Congresswoman @laurenboebert from Colorado’s third district to our all-star @texasyouthsummit lineup,” said an Instagram post cited by Business Insider. In the full post shared by TMZ, the organizers described her as a “devout Christian who seeks to honor God in all that she does.”

That was after it was reported that Boebert had been ejected from a theater in Denver for causing a disturbance but just before a video of her and her date, Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher, groping each other at the show went viral.

The Instagram post is no longer available, and now Boebert has been “scrubbed from all the marketing material that originally featured her,” TMZ reports. The Advocate also checked the conference’s various social media feeds and found no mention or image of her.

Boebert, a far-right Republican, was asked to leave a performance of Beetlejuice two Sundays ago because she was vaping, singing loudly, taking photos, and generally annoying other audience members, along with Gallagher. She initially denied vaping, but it’s surfaced that a pregnant woman at the show asked her to cease vaping, and Boebert refused. Boebert and Gallagher wouldn’t leave until theater personnel threatened to call the police. Then Friday evening, surveillance video showing Boebert groping her date’s genitals and him fondling her breasts went viral on social media.

Boebert hasn’t specifically addressed the groping but has attempted to explain her overall conduct by saying she was simply too enthusiastic and animated. She has said she fell short of her values and attributed her behavior partly to the divorce proceedings she is going through.

This all has led to widespread denunciation of Boebert as a hypocrite, given her anti-LGBTQ+ views, including her allegations that drag queens and anyone associated with the LGBTQ+ community are sexualizing children. Gallagher’s bar has hosted drag shows and other LGBTQ+ events.

The summit bills itself as an event that promotes “principles of fiscal responsibility, free market, limited government, American Exceptionalism, and the Judeo-Christian principles this country was founded upon.” Scheduled speakers include Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, Charlie Kirk, anti-trans activist Riley Gaines, anti-abortion crusader Abby Johnson, and many more.

The Advocate has sought comment from summit organizers and Boebert and will update this story if we receive a response.
