Leave it to Jon Stewart to tell it like it is about the media reaction to Caitlyn Jenner's cover photo on the July issue of Vanity Fair.

Last night on The Daily Show, the witty host pointedly summarized the mainstream media view of Jenner's transformation from Olympian stud to 60-something starlet:

"Caitlyn, when you were a man, we could talk about your athleticism, your business acumen. But now you're a woman, which means your looks are really the only thing we care about."

But for those who made reference to how Jenner looks given her age, Stewart reserved his most biting sarcasm:

"Wow! Remind her she has an expiration date now!" Stewart said. "You came out at 65, and you've got another two years before you become invisible to society. Better make the most of it."

In closing, Stewart summed up what so many women know all too well about how society sees us:

"Caitlyn Jenner, congratulations. Welcome to being a woman in America."
