In a new video clip promoting Far Between, a documentary about LGBTQI Mormons that is attempting to raise funds via a Kickstarter campaign, Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees speaks candidly in about growing up gay in a Mormon family and his struggles with accepting himself while living in the spotlight.

Since coming out in an issue of Rolling Stone earlier this year, Glenn has insisted that people do not have to choose between their faith and their sexuality. "I consider myself Mormon, I believe in Mormonism, I believe in the Book of Mormon and I try to follow the teachings ... I don't always attend church on Sunday, but I wasn't going to throw away my faith," Glenn said in an April interview with the Associated Press.

In the video clip below, and emotional Glenn opens up about the relief he felt after coming out and the comfort he takes in the belief that he can live honestly without giving up his relationship with God.

"I can't imagine going farther in life without accepting who I am and now it's so refreshing to be able to say, I'm figuring it out and I don't have all the answers. When before I would make up answers or I would tell myself the solutions," he says in the video. "Now it's just really refreshing to be able to say I love God. I still believe in that. I still believe in the power of prayer. I still love my family. I still hope that there's some sort of togetherness in the afterlife. I don't know all the answers but I also know this is who I am. This is how I feel."
