See how these trans advocates, students, and allies brought visibility to their trans community members this week.
Transgender Awareness Week will continue through November 20, ending with the Transgender Day of Remembrance, which honors the lives of people lost to anti-trans violence throughout the year.
The week is an opportunity to tell the stories of trans and gender-nonconforming community members, raise understanding about their experiences, and take action against discrimination. Many high school and college students, as well as activist organizations and nonprofits, take part in this week's awareness efforts, and some even celebrate November as Trans Awareness Month.
Whether you're a trans community member or an ally, enjoy these tweets to kick your own week of visibility and reflection into high gear.
