PHOTOS: LGBT Cubans Show Their Pride
A new chapter for same-sex couples is beginning in Cuba: of openness and equality. During a mass symbolic wedding in Havana Saturday, 20 such couples said 'Sí' in front of thousands of spectators. The ceremony was led by Mariela Castro, a Cuban activist and daughter of President Raul Castro. “It has been eight years living a dream we never thought could come true,” Raul Orta, who married boyfriend, Yaimel Medin, Saturday, told Diario de Cuba.
