Caitlyn Jenner made her Pride debut in New York City on Sunday when she appeared at a party at the PHD Rooftop Lounge at the Dream Downtown Hotel. The event is the first Jenner, 65, has attended since coming out as transgender.
Jenner arrived at the Chelsea party with cameras in tow, filming scenes for her new reality show, "I Am Cait." News of the star's arrival quickly hit social media as the crowd gave the newly minted member of the LGBT community a rousing welcome.
Entertainment Tonight reported Jenner dropped by the event to see trans actress Candis Cayne, who has appeared in TV's Nip/Tuck and Dirty Sexy Money do a special show. Cayne was the first transgender actress to play a transgender character on a primetime television show.
Jenner and friends arrived to a boisterous welcome with fans shouting "We love you, Caitlyn!" The reality star took selfies with friends and Cayne dedicated the song "I Am Woman" to Jenner.
"You could tell she was touched by the love and pride of the performance and attendees," Dan Steele Green told ET Online. "She showed grace and beauty and represented what this weekend is all about. Caitlyn was definitely feeling it -- yet kept to herself and just genuinely enjoyed the afternoon."
"You could tell she was comfortable in her own skin and appreciating the spirit of the event," he continued.
Jenner's new reality show premieres July 26 on E!
