Ellen DeGeneres is as well known for making people laugh as she is for coming out on Oprah Winfrey's show in 1997, paving the way for other LGBT celebrities to be who they are.

Though she lost her sitcom after her character came out, she has since hit her stride as an extremely successful daytime talk show host.

Over the years, Ellen has had the opportunity to speak with many out LGBT guests including Elton John, Ellen Page, and Caitlyn Jenner. In honor of Pride month, her team put together a heartwarming montage, reminding viewers that being yourself is a powerful thing.
