Despite safety concerns after the October 1 mass shooting, record numbers turned out for the Pride Parade in Las Vegas this weekend, according to Fox5Vegas.com.
Families gathered and revelers celebrated a sense of unity and also sought a mental escape from the tragedy that claimed the lives of 58 festival-goers earlier in the month.
"An environment where it's completely safe," said Pride President James Healey. "To express yourself as who you really are."
