The downtown Minneapolis Pride Parade was not without controversy. Read more below.
The tens of thousands of people who crowded downtown Minneapolis stayed both flexible and passionate for Twin Cities Pride. Police were reinvited to march after initially being disinvited after the recent acquittal of St. Anthony police officer Jeronimo Yanez in the 2016 death of Philando Castile, according to Star Tribune. There was even a baby born during the parade.
