As Pride Month comes to a close, Trevor Noah reminded LGBT people of all our ups despite one recent downer.

Noah started by noting Justice Anthony Kennedy's retirement was a "harsh way to end Pride Month." Jim Obergefell, the namesake for the case that won marriage equality at the Supreme Court, said on CNN this week that he feels "devastated" by the Kennedy retirement. Out MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow called on Democrats not to be "doormats" and to fight for a moderate replacement on the Supreme Court, and LGBT people are broadly in search of hope for the future.

So, Noah took a welcome moment during The Daily Show to celebrate how much progress has been made.
