Madrid celebrated the 40th anniversary of the first Pride held there. Read more below.
More than a million people gathered and celebrated in Madrid to honor the 40th anniversary of the first LGBT rights march there, according to the Latin American Tribune.
Under the slogan, "Winning equality, TRANSforming society," the parade was headed by leaders of the top LGBT collectives, along with politicians like gay Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska and Health Minister Carmen Monton.
