Bold Type, Grown-ish, Good Trouble Stars Break Up with LGBTQ Stereotypes

Stars of several of Freeform's groundbreaking shows (which star several out actors) speak out against antiquated ideas about LGBTQ people for Pride Month.

The network that has brought viewers such forward-thinking series including Pretty Little Liars, Shadowhunters, The Fosters, The Bold Type, Grown-ish, and Good Trouble has put together a Pride Month spot in which stars of the various shows break up with antiquated ideas of what it means to be LGBTQ. And The Advocate has the exclusive premiere ahead of Tuesday's episode of The Bold Type when it will go wide.

"Freeform is breaking up with your old-fashioned ideas about who I am and who I love," the networks' stars Hailie Sahar, Stephen Conrad Moore, and Zuri Adele (who are all part of the LGBTQ community) say in the video.

"I'm breaking up with your hate, your abuse, your judgment. I'm breaking up with people who think bisexuals need to pick a side," castmembers of Grown-ish, Good Trouble, Siren, and The Bold Type continue.

The Pride Month spot also includes Maia Mitchell, Cierra Ramirez, Sherry Cola, Trevor Jackson, Ian Verdun, Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee and more.
