On June 29, 2019, an estimated 12,000 people attended Anchorage PrideFest and the Pride Parade. Read more below.
Anchorage PrideFest is the annual celebration of Alaska's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) communities. Each year, along with allies, Alaska demonstrates their pride with a host of special events throughout Anchorage. For 42 years, Anchorage PrideFest Week has been a public celebration providing Alaskans a way to celebrate the state's diversity, giving expression to the pride or the LGBTQ community. 50 groups/floats and 500 people are expected to participate in the celebration of Alaska's LGBTQ+ movement, including business representatives from Continental Subaru, Alaska Airlines, Smirnoff, Fred Meyer and BP.
Anchorage PrideFest is a program of Identity, Inc., Alaska's leading LGBTQ+ organization.

We have happily partnered with Russ for years now, as Russ is not only the official photographer but is now officially the Head Archivist for the State of Alaska's, LGBTQ Community. He owns the largest collection of LGBTQ historical ephemera in Alaska. He is now working with the Anchorage Museum and the Rasmuson Foundation for a permanent home in the future. He is currently negotiating for an LGBTQ exhibit in Anchorage for next year's Pride.
