The captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins says that having grown up in Canada, he doesn't understand why Russia is so opposed to LGBT equality.

The latest news about Sidney Crosby, the NHL star and captain of the hockey team the Pittsburgh Penguins who is an LGBT ally. Crosby is a supporter of the You Can Play Project, which produces public service announcements to encourage acceptance and understanding of all athletes regardless of their sexual orientation. Sidney Crosby first joined the National Hockey League in 2005 and has risen to become the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He is Canadian and was born in Nova Scotia.
