The Gender Recognition Act of 2022 made a third gender option available on state-issued identification in New York.
The state's "In God We Trust" license plates fund the Alliance Defending Freedom, which works to abolish women's rights, marriage equality, and trans existence.
After being denied by the DMV, three trans women are suing to legally get their IDs changed.
Changing names, sex designation, and birth certificates will also be easier due to the state's Gender Recognition Act.
Republican Gov. Phil Scott added that the new ID policy "is consistent with our Vermont values of inclusion and acceptance."
