The spokesperson said that patients seeking surgical care are being referred to other facilities that still offer such procedures.
It's now the 20th state to ban gender-affirming care for minors.
“The Heath Care Ban violates the constitutional rights of Tennessee adolescents and their parents, and — if it goes into effect — will cause severe and irreparable harm,” the complaint says.
The ban on care for trans minors and certain adults is set to go into effect August 28.
Lawmakers overcame a filibuster to pass the measure. Civil rights activists are outraged and may sue.
This follows a similar filing on a ban in Tennessee.
The teen said she felt “normal now” after receiving gender-affirming care treatment.
“If you pass this bill today, know that you’re forcing me to use the bathroom with your daughters, wives, mothers, and sisters,” a bearded transgender man told the lawmakers.
She issued a temporary injunction that lasts until after she’s had an opportunity to hear some arguments in the case.
LGBTQ+ activists in the U.K. are criticizing this restriction on care for transgender youth.
The ban "is inimical to equality and equal dignity before the law," the American Bar Association's brief says.

Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz is also expected to sign a bill banning conversion therapy.
The list of states with bans keeps growing.
They claim that a state constitutional amendment enshrining abortion rights would allow minors to receive gender-affirming procedures without parental consent.
