Previously, Jarrett William Smith was convicted of disturbing bomb-making instructions and was charged with encouraging the assassination of former presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke.
He called the LGBTQ+ community a “virus” that required “shin[ing] our boots and putting on our armbands,” according to court documents.
He also attended a massive protest by right-wing extremists at a drag event in a public park in Wadsworth, Ohio in early March.
