The transgender woman had been held in solitary confinement in the men’s section of the D.C. jail.

Casa Ruby, founded in 2012, provides a variety of services to LGBTQ+ youth in Washington, D.C.
A receiver's report submitted to a D.C. court has also found evidence of "potential criminal misconduct" at Casa Ruby.
