RuPaul is laying the cards on the table in the latest addition to the RuPaul's Drag Race franchise.
RuPaul's Drag Race: Vegas Revue will premiere on VH1 this summer. The six-part docuseries features the former Drag Race contestants who staged the show's first Las Vegas residency, RuPaul's Drag Race Live!
Vegas Revue follows Yvie Oddly, Asia O'Hara, Derrick Barry, Kameron Michaels, Naomi Smalls, and Vanessa "Vanjie" Mateo "as they showcase the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent it takes to pull off groundbreaking performances in front of a live audience," a release stated.
The series will also show behind-the-scenes moments and the personal lives of the performers. A spicy new trailer shows Mateo and Michaels locking lips in between curtain calls.
RuPaul's Drag Race Live!, directed by RuPaul and Jamal Sims, premiered in January at the Flamingo Las Vegas but was put on hold due to the health pandemic. A teaser of its songs was featured in a Drag Race season 12 "Ru-sical" challenge.
After her RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars elimination, Barry shared with The Advocate that the show is going "month by month" in the midst of the crisis. But she is looking forward to its live return.
"I think that people need entertainment. I think they need comedy. I think they need inspiration. And if people are willing to go down to the Strip and gamble, then hopefully they're willing to go down to the Strip and see some live entertainment as well," Barry said.
