The L Word: Generation Q Season 2 Trailer Serves Up Sex, Drama, and Rosie O'Donnell 

It's been 18 months since The L Word: Generation Q's first season ended. But now there's a trailer for season 2, and it's about to be high drama from the looks of it!

From executive producers Ilene Chaiken, Jennifer Beals, Kate Moennig, and Leisha Hailey, and showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan, the reboot follows original characters Bette (Beals), Alice (Hailey), and Shane (Moennig) while also telling the stories of a new crew of LGBTQ+ characters who span a breadth of diversity within in the community.

From the trailer, it looks as though Bette, now in her 50s, is on the lookout for love as her one true love, Tina (Laurel Holloman), reenters the scene after leaving Los Angeles to follow her career. Only Tina is engaged to a woman. Alice is navigating the wake of a throuple with her partner Nat (Stephanie Allynne) and Nat's ex Gigi (Sepideh Moafi) that didn't go as planned. Meanwhile, Shane grapples with the idea of parenting since her wife, Quiara (Lex Scott Davis), announced she was pregnant. The new cast members will cope with their own drama after the explosive first season finale when Sophie (Rosanny Zayas) cheated on her fiancee, Dani (Arienne Mandi), with their good friend Finley (Jacqueline Toboni).

Generation Q also stars Leo Sheng as Micah, Jordan Hull as Bette and Tina's daughter Angelica, and Jamie Clayton as the bar manager at Shane's bar, Dana's.

Guest stars for the upcoming season, which premieres August 6, include Rosie O'Donnell, who plays Carrie, a public defender who appears in the trailer alongside Tina. Other guest stars include Donald Faison, Griffin Dunne, and Vanessa Williams.

Dunne (After Hours, I Love Dick) will play an art dealer who moves in Bette's circles while Faison (Scrubs) plays an editor who works closely with talk show host Alice.
