How does a young gay man remain STD-free in a world of sex clubs and hookup apps?

Writer, performer, and sex educator Lucas Brooks kisses and tells all in his new one-man show, Cootie Catcher. Directed by David Drake of The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me fame, the solo work will run February 19 through March 6 as part of the ninth annual Frigid New York Festival.

"In this hilarious and borderline-terrifying reflection, Lucas looks back on his many close encounters of the sexually transmissible kind," according to press notes about the production. "Through his naked (yet carefully wrapped) adventures, he struggles with his ability to remain sex-positive in an HIV-negative society."

Brooks has spent the last two years touring the fringe theater circuit with his first one-man show, VGL 5'4" Top. He is also the creator of The Intellectual Homosexual, a blog where he analyzes modern gay culture and sexuality.
