The Cher Show, the Broadway musical that stars three Broadway divas as Cher and spans six decades in the life and career of the legendary hitmaker and Oscar winner, opened Monday to great fanfare. And the legend herself, Cher, even made a surprise appearance during the curtain call, where she performed "If I Could Turn Back Time" with Stephanie J. Block, one of the actresses who plays her in the show.

"Holy shit!" Block exclaims mid-song with Cher to illustrate just what a big deal it was to have Cher there.

Meanwhile, Teal Wicks and Micaela Diamond, who also portray the icon in the show, and who are seen during the curtain call clad in classic Cher regalia, look on with stars in their eyes.

Directed by Jason Moore (Avenue Q, Pitch Perfect), The Cher Show goes beyond Cher's storied career and delves into her love life with Jarrod Spector playing Sonny Bono, Michael Campayno as Rob Camilletti, and Matthew Hydzik as Gregg Allman. Additionally, Michael Berresse stars as Cher's go-to designer Bob Mackie, and Emily Skinner plays her mother, Georgia Holt.

Now in her 70s and with a recent career resurgence thanks to her appearance in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and her subsequent album of ABBA covers, Cher is also a producer on the musical.
