As a Pennsylvania state representative, Brian Sims spends most of his days fighting for the needs of his Philadelphia-area constituents -- but he does manage to squeeze in some fun.

The lawyer and former college football star recently posted to Facebook a dashcam video in which he gleefully sings "Part of Your World" from the 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid. The politician's exuberance is infectious, which may explain why it was picked up by numerous websites and notched over 600,000 view as of early September.

Not everyone enjoyed the clip; some criticized Sims for behavior they saw as unbecoming of a politician. Sims responded with, "It's a song. I was 11 when it came out. I like it even more at 37. Really, I appreciate the kind words and anyone who'd struggle to 'respect' me because of this would have ample other reasons not to respect that are a lot more important to me."

Damn right, Brian.
