Olympic diver Tom Daley and his longtime partner, Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, are finally engaged to marry, and they announced it in the most old-fashioned way possible in the era of the Internet and social media -- in the newspaper.
"The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence," reads the engagement announcement in The Times, one the U.K.'s most widely read print publications.
The gay Olympian came out to the world by posting a video on his YouTube account in 2013, and it was soon revealed that he was dating Black.
"The whole family is extremely excited and looking forward to the big day," Daley's mother told the U.K's Plymouth Herald about her son's upcoming nuptials, which have yet to be planned out. "They are going to wait until after the Olympic Games in Rio before they decide on the date of the wedding and where they want to marry."
