LGBT Youth Center Gets Visit from Scotland's First Minister

An LGBT youth center in Scotland is getting a big spotlight thanks to a visit from the country's first minister, Nicola Sturgeon.

In a video message shared on Twitter and making headlines across the country, the country's leader met with young people at LGBT Youth Scotland and pledged to make 2018 the "Year of Young People."

Sturgeon agreed with with one of the youth ambassadors that 2018 could be a time to "try and make Scotland a more inclusive place."

Out member of Parliament Stewart McDonald praised Sturgeon for selecting the LGBT group for the annual Hogmanay message. Hogmanay is the Scottish word for the last day of the year.
