It's been a whirlwind of a year for LGBT advocates, equality, and visibility in general. From the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, which Russian law attempted to keep free of so-called gay propaganda, to the unprecedented marriage equality wins throughout the country, to the long-awaited increase in visibility for transgender and gender-nonconfirming people -- it's been hard to keep up with developments happening at breakneck speed.

So as we sit back and reflect on the year (and gear up for what's to come), it's time to find out just how much attention you were paying to the biggest stories of 2014. Take our quiz right here to test your knowledge, then share your results with friends!
